TEXT
Romans 3:4 KJV.
“God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged”.
MESSAGE
☆☆☆ The above verse of the scripture is where the Holy Spirit is drawing our attention to for today.
☆☆☆ I often wonder if we are all aware of this verse of the scripture and actually understand the meaning:
“let God be true, but every man a liar”.
☆☆☆ One cannot trust anybody anymore, not even ‘children of God’.
☆☆☆ A pastor friend was telling me recently that if a particular individual, another minister of God, greets you good morning, that you better go to sleep because it is actually night. This is how bad it has become.
☆☆☆ Some men of God have become politicians.
☆☆☆ Please don’t misunderstand me, first read my own definitions of a politician ????
☆☆☆ A politician is somebody who tells lies to gain the votes of the people and be elected into office.
¶¶¶ Pastor sir, are you not manipulating your members to raise money for that project?
☆☆☆ A politician says and makes promises he knows he can never fulfil.
☆☆☆ Pastor, how many of your promises to the congregation have you fulfilled?
☆☆☆ A politician changes his religion at will to get a political appointment.
¶¶¶ Pastor, how did you get that title or ordination you currently carry, is it not by fraudulent means?
☆☆☆ Now tell me, why must a child of God join politics if he/she cannot go there to make a positive difference.
☆☆☆ If a child of God aspires for an office only for him to sell his conscience thereafter, then he is not qualified to be called a child of God.
☆☆☆ Let us look at the position of God regarding this ????
“Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ”.
[6] “Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart”.
[7] “With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men”.
[8] “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free” – Ephesians 6:5-8.
☆☆☆ Beloved, “let God be true, but every man a liar”
☆☆☆ A brother will be looking for a wife and be cruising along the streets in a borrowed car, most times, wearing hired outfits. The question is this, if he succeeds in deceiving the unfortunate lady to marry him, will he also be sustaining his family on borrowed food and money?
“let God be true, but every man a liar”.
☆☆☆ Again, listen to what the bible has to say????
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” – Romans 1:18.
“let God be true but every man a liar”.
☆☆☆ Today, most people prefer to receive the accolades of men rather than the approval of God.
☆☆☆ Many people claim to be what they are not. Why not be your real you for once!!
☆☆☆ All because you want to act big or holy to gain the approval of men!!
☆☆☆ Many people have missed opportunities that could have changed their lives, for good, because of pretence and pride.
☆☆☆ When you pretend to be a ‘big man’ in the presence of somebody who can help you, don’t be surprised if he turns you to a micro finance bank and begins to apply for a soft loan from you.
☆☆☆ Beloved, be yourself so that help can locate you.
☆☆☆ What benefits do you derive from acting to be who you are not? The fear of men or your desire to please men!!!
Paul the apostle said ????
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ” – Galatians 1:10.
“let God be true, but every man a liar”.
PRAYERS
1. Father, please give me the grace to be true to myself.
2. In everything I say or do, please Lord, help me to be real to myself.
3. On the day of my encounter with my destiny helpers, please Lord, don’t allow pride to rob me the opportunity to move to my next level.
4. Father, don’t allow greed and the love of money to destroy your purpose for my life.
5. Father, don’t allow me to become a stumbling block on the pathway of others in Jesus name.
6. I refuse to be the reason or a tool through which my brother will fall.
7. Father, while taking some vital decisions in life, let your fear rule my heart and influence my decisions in Jesus name.
8. I will not be controlled by the dictates of the flesh in Jesus name.
9. Father, don’t allow anyone, who will not contribute positively to my life; cross my path in Jesus name.
10. Please Lord, don’t allow me to stand condemned before you on the day of judgement.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray for somebody today, may you not slaughter your conscience on the altar of mammon in Jesus name.
To those who have mortgaged their conscience on the altar of greed, I decree, the faithfulness of God shall restore you in Jesus name.
May you not use your position to stand against the elevation of others in Jesus name.
Somebody will not lose his/her job through the might of your pen in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, as you fear God and put him first in all your decisions and actions, the God of heaven will defend you against the attacks of the wicked in Jesus name.
Whenever you are about taking vital decisions affecting others, I decree, the fear of God will rule your heart in Jesus name.
May you not allow pretence to rob you of the divine helper the Lord is sending your way in Jesus name.
May you not become what your flesh wants you to be but what God has destined you to become in Jesus mighty name.
