Wike Issues Stern Warning To Hope Uzodinma, Others Supporting Fubara, Tells Them The Implication
Former governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike has told governors, senators, ministers and other political leaders supporting his protege, governor Siminalayi Fubara that they will suffer betrayal.
Nyesom Wike while speaking at the commissioning of the renewed hope secretariat in Port Harcourt today, February 7th, in anger laced prayer cum warning, told political office holders and appointees who are behind governor Sim Fubara that they will suffer worse betrayal than Fubara did to him.
Wike specifically mentioned that state governors who are supporting governor Sim Fubara and want to produce successors in their respective states, will be betrayed by their successors in a manner more humiliating than his–and which will appear so shocking to them that they will not survive it– “will fall down and dîe”
“Whether you’re a senator, rep member, minister, or governor and you support betrayers, people will also betray you in life. Every second term governor who has an ambition to put a successor and is supporting betrayal, you’ll never survive it. From the day your successor comes in…my own took so many months. Your own will start immediately the person is inaugurated”, Nyesom Wike stated.
Wike admonished that betrayal is un-African–contradicts the culture of Africa which encourages loyalty and gratitude. Referencing the principle of sowing and reaping, FCT minister emphasized that those political leaders who support governor Sim Fubara for betraying him will unavoidably reap betrayals.
Meanwhile, Nyesom Wike emphasizing a second term governor who is supporting governor Sim Fubara, suggests that he is referring to governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, the chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum who is reportedly canvassing support for governor Siminalayi Fubara among the APC’s state governors.
Reports suggest that governor Hope Uzodinma facilitated governor Sim Fubara’s defection from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party , thereby shielding him from the political conspiracy if Nyesom Wike and the members of the Rivers state House of Assembly who are loyal to him.
Governor Hope Uzodinma is also said to be secretly working to ensure that governor Sim Fubara gets the APC’s governorship ticket for 2027 at the expense of Wike’s preferred candidate.
