WHY HON. EMEKA EBO AWARDED UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS TO 15 IDEMMILI STUDENTS
*Hon. Chief Emeka Ebo (Nwachinemeluife of Ogidi) The Frontline APGA House of Representatives Aspirant for Idemmili North and South Federal Constituency has revealed that his decision to offer University Scholarships to 15 Indigent but brilliant Umu Idemmili undergraduates since 2019 through the platform of Ogidi Inwele North America is a demonstration of his commitment towards the realisation of Goal 4 of the 2030 United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”*
Hon. Emeka Ebo, Said “Education is the tool that breaks down all barriers, Education is part of the foundation of all progress and growth, both as an individual and as a society, the development of a knowledge society relies highly on quality education. Hence, the education and empowerment of young people are at the core of my social development agenda for Idemmili North and South Federal Constituency.”
Hon. Emeka Ebo who is the president general of Ogidi Union USA, Canada and Mexico through
Ogidi Inwele North America (OINA), had distributed cash scholarship awards to the beneficiaries of its educational intervention programme.
Now in its third edition, the presentation which held at the palace of the traditional ruler of Ogidi community, Igwe Alex Onyido saw each of the five undergraduates smiling home with #200,000.00 cash award for their university education which will be disbursed annually till their graduation.
Hon. Emeka Ebo maintained that access to education is crucial considering the dramatic increase in demands for skills and experience in a today’s society as education is the center-piece for creating an ambitious and efficient youth investment strategy.
He warned that
without qualitative and relevant education, young people will be under-empowered and vulnerable to different forms of social vices and ills, including human trafficking.
He assured of his unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child in Idemmili North and South Federal Constituency gets access to quality Education which remains the passport to a secured future.
