WE SHALL ALWAYS IDENTIFY WITH THE ENGINEERING FAMILY, POLY RECTOR TELLS VISITING WATER ENGINEERS
The Chief Executive of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Engr. Dr Michael Arimanwa FNSE, has pledged commitment to the engineering family of which he is a distinguished fellow.
This was part of the remarks the Rector made yesterday when he received in audience the executive officers of the Nigerian Institute of Water Engineers. The Rector also used the forum to tell his visitors that the Federal Polytechnic Nekede has made significant progress in the development of its Engineering School, with the addition of many new programmes in the school, including those that are contiguous to water resources.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the group, Engr. Chinyere Nnenna Igwegbe, who apparently led his team on a pre-conferment visit to the Rector, congratulated him on his commitment to the engineering sector, a reason why he was chosen to be conferred with the Fellowship of the Nigerian Institution of Water Resources (FNIWE), today.
She praised the Rector for accepting to be the distinguished Guest of Honour to the event. The group leader also solicited the support of the Rector to establish a student chapter of Nigerian Institution of Water Resources (NIWE) in the Federal Polytechnic Nekede.
Engr. Igwegbe, who came in company of some of her predecessors, also informed the Rector and his management about the group’s national conference holding later in the year, stating that it would be beneficial to the engineering family. High point of the visit was the presentation of a plaque of honour to the poly supremo.
