Uzodimma unveils 7,000-member Imo vigilance outfit to ‘nip insecurity in the bud’

Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo, has established the Imo State Vigilance Services Organisation to combat insecurity in the state.

The governor unveiled the security outfit on Friday at the passing out parade of 7000 newly trained operatives of the vigilance group.

Uzodimma said members of the organisation will serve as “eyes and ears” in the communities and are equipped with essential skills for intelligence gathering.
