Unconstitutional Affront to write; Lawlessness in Office: Akoko North East Chairman’s ‘Wanted Notice’ Is a Dangerous Assault on the Rule of Law

When there is reward for the good and punishment for the evil; when there is commendation for the right and condemnation for the wrong; when we despise the corrupt and sustain the honest.
Justice seems be done and humanity will stand upright.

Hon. Muhammed Mutiu Olawale fondly called Baba nee as well as The Chairman of Akoko North East Local Government Ondo Nigeria approach to the safety and welfarism of the dwellers and strangers of the aforementioned Local Government has been top notched. The incumbent Chairman approach to matter arising and pressing needs of his people will always be overrated.

Notorious PDP member Bar. Ifeoluwa Ajibuwa contention on the “Operation Sweep; tackling the scourge of Hard drugs in Akoko North East Local Government” lack Locus standing because he forget that a drug case usually begins when the party involve is suspected of committing a drug crime.

It is an unconstitutional affront for someone who ought to join hands tackling the high rate of illicit drug consumption in the society after several warning has been issue to all who engage in this hard drug business in the Akoko North East Local Government Area.

Section 308 of the 1999 constitution grants immunity from civil and criminal proceedings to the Executive arms of government while they are in Office.
Essence of this immunity is meant to allow the arm of government to carry out their functions without the hindrance of legal battles and to ensure the stability of good governance.

I am flabbergasted when an erudite lawyer correlating a tenancy case with a drug case citing the Supreme verdict of Ojukwu v. Governor of Lagos State (1986) 1 NWLR (Pt.18) 621. No sane leader like the Performing Chairman is expected to evict or extort any of his co-citizen in an unlawful manner. This is a total war against the high rate consumption of illicit substances

My conclusion is for every affected parties to vamoose and stop piling one negative event on top of another, making this battle against drug abuse come to reality in our society. Don’t add insult to wound of the affected parties.

The Administration of Alhaji Muhammed Mutiu Olawale will definitely take further approach in respect to rehabilitation arena and other life changing opportunities that will curb this bad habit cum lifestyle which is liable to destroy and damage the consumers.

Olaitan Lawrence Oloruntoba
S.A on Media to Chairman Akoko North East Local Government.
