Two kidnappers arrested after falling in love with victims in Kaduna

​Police in Kaduna have arrested two kidnappers after a clever trap set by their victims led to their capture.
​The suspects had kidnapped two married women and sexually assaulted them during their time in captivity. To survive and secure their freedom, the women pretended to fall in love with their captors, even telling the men they enjoyed the encounter.

This deception convinced the kidnappers to exchange phone numbers with the women before releasing them.
​Once they were safe, the women maintained contact with the criminals. On Tuesday, they arranged a “romantic meeting” with the suspects.

When the kidnappers arrived at the location, they were immediately arrested by police officers who had been alerted to the plan.
