Trump Calls On Netflix To Sack ‘Racist’ Susan Rice Or Face ‘Consequences’ After Ex-NSA Condemned Companies ‘Kneeling’ To Him

Rice served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013 during the first term of the Obama administration. A member of the Cabinet, she was confirmed to this role in January 2009 and held it until she became the National Security Advisor in July 2013.

President Donald Trump has called on Netflix to fire former National Security Adviser Susan Rice after she warned that companies who “take a knee” for him could face consequences.

Rice served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013 during the first term of the Obama administration. A member of the Cabinet, she was confirmed to this role in January 2009 and held it until she became the National Security Advisor in July 2013.

Rice, a board member, said corporations showing support for Trump might encounter an “accountability agenda” from Democrats if they prevail in the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential election.

Responding on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump described Rice as “racist” and “deranged.”

“Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences. She’s got no talent or skills – Purely a political hack! HER POWER IS GONE, AND WILL NEVER BE BACK,” Trump said in his post.

“How much is she being paid, and for what??? Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT.”

Rice has been a member of Netflix’s board of directors since 2023, having previously served from 2018 to 2020.

Trump’s post included a link to an X post by Laura Loomer featuring a video clip of Rice criticizing companies she believes are kowtowing to him.

Rice, who served as National Security Adviser and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations under former President Barack Obama, warned that such organisations would be “held accountable” when Democrats return to power.

Rice warned that elites, including corporate interests, law firms, universities, and the media, would face consequences for acting in what she described as their narrow, short-term self-interest by showing deference to Trump.

“I think they’re starting to realise, ‘Wait a minute, this is not popular.’ Trump is not popular. What he is doing, whether on the economy and affordability or on immigration now, is not popular,” she said.

“And that there is likely to be a swing in the other direction, and they’re going to be caught with more than their pants down, they’re going to be held accountable by those who come in opposition to Trump and win at the ballot box.”

“If these corporations think Democrats, when they come back in power, are gonna play by the old rules and say, ‘Oh never mind, we’ll forgive you for all the people you fired, all the policies and principles you violated, all the lies you’ve skirted’; I think they’ve got another thing coming,” she added.
