President Bola Tinubu has ordered a full security cordon over the forests in Kwara, Kebbi and Niger states in response to recent kidnappings and terrorist activities.

“President Tinubu has ordered total security cordon over the forests in Kwara state following recent kidnappings and terrorist activities. President Tinubu directed the airforce to expand its air surveillance across the innermost parts of the forests in Kwara state where it is believed the terrorists are hiding,” Dare said.
“They are to maintain a 24 hour surveillance and link up with the booths on the ground. This order equally applies to the Kebbi and Niger States axis where many are expected to be rescued.”
“Communities are also urged to provide timely information about strange movements and activities to aide the work of the security forces,” he added.
Earlier on Tuesday, SaharaReporters reported that terror swept through Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State on Monday evening as terrorists invaded the town, abducting a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers, and several others.
The police have confirmed the abduction of 10 people in the community.
Isapa lies a short distance from Eruku, another community recently hit by a similar abduction.
According to National Pilot, the attack occurred around 6pm on November 24, 2025, when an estimated 20 to 30 armed bandits stormed the community, advancing with a large herd of cattle and firing sporadically.
An elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet during the assault.
A community leader who confirmed the incident said 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family.
Among the kidnapped victims are a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several young children.
The abducted individuals have been identified as: Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat (a housewife), Fatima Yusufu (a housewife), Sarah Sunday (pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (a nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.
Eyewitnesses explained that the gunmen moved through parts of the town, leaving multiple bullet holes in walls and doors.
Expended AK-47 shells were recovered across the community after the attackers fled.
Also, recently, panic and tears swept through Eruku town in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State as terrorists stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor.
The bandits tormenting Kwara State are said to be operating from within forests in the state, with a kidnap victim noting that the kidnappers were in control of forest routes.
There have been similar kidnap incidents in Kebbi and Niger states, where many students were recently abducted by bandits.
