There is a dangerous religious agenda being championed by some selected Owe Leaders who are predominantly Christians to prevent the running of Kabba Development Union by any Muslim.
This Agenda was unfolded by the so-called MEDIATION COMMITTEE led by Cardinal John Onaiyekan during their interface with the authentic and PHYSICAL Faction of the Exco under Barr. Kabiru Fadile and the fake ONLINE Exco led by Emmanuel Bobinihi
To the best of my knowledge, a free, fair and transparent election into the vacant positions of Kabba Development Union (KDU) has been conducted according to the constitution of the Union and Barr. Muhammad Kabiru Fadile emerged as the President-General.
“When leaders are seen as biased towards a particular religion, it erodes public trust in their ability to mediate fairly in crisis situations”
It is imperative for religious leaders to be patriotically sincere and working in partnership with other relevant stakeholders before PEACE can be achieved in any given situation.
Owe-Kabba land is one place where religion hardly determines friendship or influences relationships when we were growing up.
Religion has NEVER been an issue with us and that is the beauty of our fraternity as indigenes of Owe land
For the records, i am using this opportunity to appeal to those fanning the ember of discord and religious crisis in Owe land, with particular reference to the leadership of Kabba Development Union (KDU) to desist from their sinister motives as they all have posterity to contend with.
How do we explain the composition of a MEDIATION COMMITTEE that do not accommodate leaders of other religious and interest group?
For instance, what stops the involvement of the Chief Imam of Kabba, Representatives of Kabba Club 12 and the Traditional Institution from the Mediation Team?
The leadership of Kabba Development Union (KDU) does not belong to Christians alone neither is it for the Catholics.
Barr. Kabiru Fadile is a bonafide indigene of Owe land. As a former Chairman of kabba-Bunu Local Government council, his tenure of office still remains a reference point and a yardstick for measuring developmental strides at the grassroots.
Barr. Kabiru Fadile is from a very good background as a Muslim with unquestionable characters. A voice in Katu Royal Family of Owe land with special respect for Tradition and Custom. More importantly, he is happily married and Allah has blessed him with beautiful children that are doing well across the nation.
