Terry G slams Billboard over exclusion from Afrobeats top 50 list

Nigerian singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has called out American music magazine Billboard for excluding his songs from its recently released ranking of the Top 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time.

The list, curated by Billboard, placed 2Face Idibia’s iconic hit ‘African Queen’ at number one, while other classics such as Timaya’s ‘Dem Mama’, Weird MC’s ‘Ijoya’, and Olu Maintain’s ‘Yahooze’ also featured.

However, none of Terry G’s popular hits, including Akpako Master, Free Madness, and Run Mad, made the cut.

Reacting on his official X page on Wednesday, the singer expressed his displeasure, writing, ”TERRY G robbed.”
