Taraba, Enugu rerun elections to hold in 32 polling units — INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission said supplementary and rerun elections will be held in 32 polling units in Taraba and Enugu states.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun, and released on Thursday.
INEC had said it would conduct the elections in Taraba and Enugu states respectively on February 14, 2024.
Giving the latest updates, INEC noted that the elections in the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State will be held in 24 polling units.
“Further to our earlier statement in which Wednesday, February 14 2024 was fixed for supplementary elections in the Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency of Taraba State, the Commission hereby announces the full details of the Polling Units involved in the election and the three Local Government Areas making up the Constituency.

“As declared by the Returning Officer, there are 15 Polling Units in Jalingo, seven in Yorro, and two in Zing where supplementary elections will be held, making a total of 24 Polling Units for the Constituency.
“The full list and delimitation details of the Polling Units, including number of registered voters and Permanent Voters’ Cards collected, have been uploaded to the Commission’s website and social media platforms.”
The commission further stated that elections will be held in eight polling units in Enugu South 1 state constituency.
“In the case of Enugu South 1 State Constituency where the election will also be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, the names and delimitation details of the eight Polling Units remain unchanged,” INEC added.
The commission called on all political parties, candidates, supporters, and agents to maintain the peace during the polls.
