State police, reserved seats for women — N’assembly’s unfulfilled promises in 2025

At the start of 2025, expectations were high for the national assembly, with lawmakers promising a year of sweeping reforms. From constitutional amendments and security restructuring to gender inclusion and electoral reform, the agenda was ambitious and timely.

However, by the end of the year, many of those promises and expectations remained unresolved. While legislative activities were visible, substantive outcomes were limited.
