Sowore’s Protest For Kanu’s Release Was Not Real–Verydarkman Reveals

Controversial social media commentator and acclaimed activist for social change, Martins Vincent Otse widely known as Verydarkman, has accused Omoleye Sowore of insincerity over his protest for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s release from detention.
Verydarkman alleges that Omoleye Sowore and others who on the 20th of October, 2025 protested against the continual detention of Mazi Nnamdi did not do so on a pure and genuine purpose.
According to him, those who organized the protest, (referring to Omoleye Sowore) did so to polish their goodwill but endearing themselves to a section of the country, the Igbo ethnicity understandably for their political interest or ambition.
Verydarkman added that the protest was laced with hypocrisy, the reason for its abrupt end immediately Omoleye Sowore was arrested. He also claimed that the protest was not properly planned as most of the protesters did not know the set objectives and goal of the protest other than abiding by Omoleye Sowore’s command.
Verydarkman further stated that a successful protest is born out of sincerity of purpose, deep conviction, and commitment. He thereafter mocked Nigerians for their lack of conviction and commitment to holding their public servants accountable. He pointed out that Nigerians will continue to groan over bad leadership until they become genuinely convinced to challenge the situation.

However, Verydarkman’s claim about Sowore has been described as a desperate attempt by the controversial social media commentator to distract the public from his recent anti-Igbo rants while in China.
According to some reactors to his recent claim about Sowore, Verydarkman is doing damage control to mend his relationship with the Igbos whom he a few weeks ago slandered their businesses in his specious patriotic pursuit.
Verydarkman had insinuated while in China that some notable Igbo business men were exploiting Nigerians through their goods importation businesses. According to Verydarkman, his findings in China reveal that most of the goods sold at exorbitant prices by Igbo businessmen in Nigeria are sold at near-give-away prices in China were the Igbo businessmen supposedly import from.
He vowed to start importing such products into the country with the hope of crashing the prices of the affected products.
