Sheikh Gumi Raises Alarm As He Reveals The “Actual Agenda” Of US Soldiers On Nigeria Soil
Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has again criticized the Nigeria’s military collaboration with the United States army following the arrival in Nigeria of “a team of specialists” soldiers from the US African Command.
The commander of AFRICOM, Anderson revealed that the team of specialists were sent to Nigeria following a meeting with Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rome where the Nigeria’s president emphasized the need for intensified military action against the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) operating in the West African country.
Reports suggest that the specialist soldiers from AFRICOM arrived in Nigeria on 3rd of February, sparking mixed reactions from cross section of Nigerians as majority of the southern Nigerians hail the move as a step in the right direction while the vast majority of the northern muslim Nigerians are averse to the move, citing sovereignty and US anti-muslim stance.
Hence, Sheikh Gumi who has consistently opposed Nigeria’s military collaboration with US government, took to his Facebook page to insinuate that the Nigeria’s government seeking the presence of US forces in Nigeria would potentially leave a dángerous effect on nation’s sovereignty and national pride.
Sheikh Gumi in a brief statement he titled: “Nigerian sovereignty and integrity is a red line”, alleges that the US military presence on Nigeria’s soil has sinister motive which the Nigeria’s government do not want to take into cognizance.
Sheikh Gumi alleges that the Nigeria’s insecurity is engineered by neo-colonialists who though are the creators of the problems pretend to be solution to the problems they created.
He emphasized that his warning should be taken seriously, reiterating that what Nigeria government needs is military equipment to tackle its domestic insecurity by itself without foreign power involvement.
“Nigerian sovereignty and integrity is a RED LINE. They created, armed, and sustained terror with intelligence only to come around and pretend to fight it. In the end, your land is colonised. Politicians should be warned about our national pride; our military, if equipped, can handle all situations”, he wrote.
