Senator Ahmed Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West, has officially resigned from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

He submitted a formal letter of resignation to the party’s chairman in Tudun Kofa Ward, located in Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

The resignation, confirmed on Thursday by the News Agency of Nigeria, comes after a period of internal conflicts within the party.

Wadada cited ongoing divisions and legal disputes as key reasons for his decision to step down.

During his time with the SDP, he acknowledged the opportunities and experiences gained, including the relationships he built with colleagues and party members.

Despite these positive aspects, he said it is time to explore other political avenues.

The senator’s departure adds to the ongoing challenges faced by the SDP, which has been struggling with internal disputes that have affected its cohesion and operations across the state.
