THE race for 2020 governorship election has kicked off in Ondo state as all 18 Caretaker Chairmen in the state unanimously endorsed the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu for a second term in office.
Under the aegis of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), the chairmen while addressing newsmen in Akure, hinged their endorsement to his giant strides in industrialising the state.
Speaking on behalf of others, the state ALGON Chairman and Caretaker Chairman of Akoko South-West Local Government Area, Hon. Augustine Oloruntogbe said :“The state has witnessed uncommon turn-around since his assumption in office.
According to Oloruntogbe, “Governor Akeredolu has changed the face of Ondo State, moving it from a civil service state to an industrial hub, thereby creating jobs for teeming youths in the state.
He said that the caretaker chairman visited the Ondo Linyi Industrial Hub, Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area and inspected the Paper Mill factory, Ethanol Factory, Plywood Factory, Win-win Textile factory established there.
