Primate Elijah Ayodele Tells ADC Who To Field Against Tinubu In 2027 To Stand A Chance
Controversial prophet and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele on Sunday ,7th of December , 2025 advised the coalition party, African Democratic Congress (ADC) to be strategic and considerate in deciding its presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate in 2027.
Primate Elijah Ayodele warned that ADC must be ready to match president Bola Ahmed Tinubu in tact and ideology, emphasizing that hasty decisions made through questionable sentiment would give the president leverage to get reelected.
He warned specifically that the ADC must avoid former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai as the party’s vice presidential candidate. Primate Ayodele claims that having any of these two northern politicians as the ADC’s vice presidential candidate, would be counterproductive, result in electoral defeat of the ADC irrespective of whomever they are paired with. Primate Elijah Ayodele claims that Kwankwaso or El-rufai as the vice presidential candidate of the ADC would make people lose interest in the party’s presidential candidate due to their political reputation.
He enjoined the ADC to look inwardly for a presidential candidate that resonate with the poor Nigerians and who possesses the capability to deliver good governance, connect with their people across regions, and without baggage of scandal or corruption. He warns that the ADC should not determine its presidential candidate based on candidates’ political history, personal appeal, connections, past political positions, and financial strength, noting that such would result in internal conflict in the party and loss of public confidence.
Additionally, he highlighted the need for the party to build a strong political structure in the grassroots that will drive home their political ideology among the rural dwellers. He stated that a formidable political organization is a necessity for the party.
In his conclusion, primate Elijah Ayodele emphasized the importance of the ADC avoiding hastily rushing into alliances and political pacts with politicians that are capable of ruining their chances in 2027.
