Primate Elijah Ayodele Reveals The Secret Reason Nigeria Military Have Not Been Able To Arrest Or Kîll Bello Turji
Controversial Nigerian prophet and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele alleges that notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji has been elusive to the Nigerian security forces because he is being shielded by political leaders.
Primate Elijah Ayodele made the remark on Sunday 18th of January in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin. He accused political leaders of abetting criminality such as banditry by providing funds and intelligence support to wanted bandits to enable them evade security operatives.
He advised president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take a stricter stance and measure against government authorities found negotiating with bandits or paying ransom to them. He specifically advised that state-governors who negotiate with bandits or pay ransom should be arrested and prosecuted for enabling and sponsoring terrórism.
He added that the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has done well in fighting terrórism and banditry especially in the north but noted that government authorities are secretly sabotaging efforts to tame insecurity especially in the north.
Security in Nigeria is spiritual. Borno, Niger, Benue, and Lokoja still have remnants of these terrorists. The likes of Bello Turji can be arrested, but there are people covering them”, he stated
“There is no need for any governor to negotiate with terrorists. Anyone who does it is a terrorist and must be arrested. If our soldiers can bombard the right places, we will end terrorism soon”.
Recent reports suggest that Bello Turji and his militia recently issued invasion notice to community in Sokoto state, resulting in the residents of the community evacuating their homes in fear of imminent attack on the community by Bello Turji’s men.
This type of attack usually result in looting, kidnápping of women, children, and men by the militia. The victims would be later released after ransom has been negotiated and paid sometimes through the intervention of the local authorities.
While the Nigeria’s military has been relentless in its effort to defeat banditry and kidnapping across the country including through international collaborations, these criminal groups continue to wreck communities, kîllling and displacing many.
