Presidency says Atiku playing politics with petrol subsidy after ‘third U-turn in one week’

The presidency has again criticised former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of being confused over petrol subsidy policy and playing politics with Nigeria’s future.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesperson, said Atiku’s recent U-turn on subsidy removal raises a fundamental question as to whether he is seriously proposing an economic policy or simply playing politics with the temporary discomfort Nigerians face.
