Presidency didn’t allocate funds to lawmakers for projects – Senate spokesman
The Spokesman of the Nigerian Senate, Yemi Adaramodu, has said that the presidency has never allocated funds to the Senators to enable them execute certain developmental projects in their various senatorial districts.Nigerian art and crafts
Adaramodu, who described the claim in certain quarters as not just untrue but a lie from the pit of hell.
“There’s nothing like that. Money is never given to any Senator or House of Representatives member for any project.
The lawmaker made this known while fielding questions from newsmen at Ilawe-Ekiti, his country home in Ekiti state.
According to him, “Either constituency, either geopolitical, either regional, either unit, either local, either state, none. No money is allocated to any legislator to carry out any contract or any job.
“The only thing we can do, and we always do, is that we’ll be given the opportunity of nominating projects to different communities of our constituency, like in the Senate.
