The Incident (Confirmed)

The Edo State Police Command has arrested Amadin Williams, 43, for the alleged k!ll!ng of his childhood friend, Eghosa Osas, also 43. The arrest was confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer Eno Ikoedem on Sunday.

Osas had returned from abroad with his family to celebrate Christmas

The attack happened during a housewarming party in Oben Community

The case was reported by the victim’s elder brother

Police say Williams is in custody and will be charged to court after investigations conclude

Ikoedem stated:

The report of the murder of Eghosa is true… the suspect is in custody. Investigation is ongoing, and he will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.

Police say the victim stepped away from the party to use the restroom when the suspect allegedly cornered him and inflicted a machete cut on his neck, leading to his death. The motive remains officially undetermined.
