As Ondo State celebrates its golden jubilee, Dr. Engnr. Charles Adedoja Adewumi, an aspirant for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has joined voices with well wishers across the country to congratulate the government and people of the state on reaching the historic 50-year milestone.
In a goodwill message marking the anniversary released to Newsmen in Akure,the capital of the State, Adewumi described Ondo at 50 as a powerful symbol of resilience, growth, and the enduring spirit of its people.
He noted that the state’s journey since its creation reflects decades of sacrifice, vision, and collective determination. He paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of Ondo State, acknowledging their courage, foresight, and commitment to laying a solid foundation for future generations.
According to him, the progress being celebrated today is deeply rooted in the sacrifices and leadership of those who worked tirelessly to establish and shape the state in its early years. He emphasized that remembering and honoring these pioneers is not just about history, but about drawing inspiration from their values of unity, service, and development.
Dr. Adewumi also commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a focused and people oriented leadership style, noting that steady governance and continuity in developmental efforts are vital as Ondo enters a new chapter.
He expressed optimism that with committed leadership and collective support from citizens, the state will continue to witness progress in infrastructure, economic growth, and social development.
