Ona of Abaji loses Wife

The Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, has lost one of his wives, Hajiya Hadiza Adamu Baba Yunusa.

Confirming the sad news on Saturday, the monarch’s Chief of Staff, Alhaji Salihu Kakamba, said Hajiya Hadiza died late Friday night at the Abaji General Hospital.

According to him, the deceased complained of fever and weakness around 11 p.m. before being rushed to the hospital. On arrival, she reportedly walked into the emergency unit unaided, but suddenly collapsed before medical checks could be completed. Doctors later confirmed her death.

Kakamba, who is also the District Head of Sabon Tasha, disclosed that the burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Saturday) at the palace, with dignitaries, government officials, and traditional rulers from across the FCT and neighboring states expected to attend.

Already, sympathizers from Niger, Nasarawa, and Kogi states, as well as FCT traditional rulers, have begun paying condolence visits ahead of the funeral prayer.
