Ogun Labour Party Slams Ogun APC’s Statewide E-Registration, Calls It a Digital Scam And Attempts to Rigged 2027 Governorship Elections

Calls On All Ogun Opposition Leaders to Come Together and Terminate APC Administration In 2027

The Ogun State Chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has strongly condemned the ongoing electronic registration exercise being conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, describing it as a deceptive and desperate attempt to mask the failure of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration.

In a statement issued by the Ogun State Chairman of the Labour Party, Chief Mrs Oluwabukola Soyoye, described the APC’s statewide e-registration as “a digital scam designed to mislead the public into believing that the ruling party still enjoys popular support in Ogun State.”

According to the LP Chairman, the exercise, tagged by the APC as a membership registration drive, is in reality “a political referendum that exposes the deep rejection of Governor Dapo Abiodun and his black-market style of governance by the people of Ogun State.”

The State Chairman said Ogun state Government under DAPO Abiodun 6 years,8 months misrule has received a total of N6.7 trillion from the federal government allocation and the sum of N4.21 for the 20 Local Government and yet the people of ogun state are becoming poorer and improverish everyday while only APC members have all suddenly become overnight emergency billionaires

She said further that In all this, the irresponsible and clueless Dapo Abiodun administration has failed in all economic indices of Good Governance because the Grossly irreparable and corrupt leadership has unconstitutionally destroyed our state economy by spending over N3 trillion through the ministry of housing to build and shared personal mansions under the guise of state housing projects while over N500b has also been collapse into the private property of Governor Dapo Abiodun Iperu country home instead of using the Government approved Government House located at Isale-Igbein in Abeokuta

The Chairman further stated that the Dapo Abiodun Administration failed to obey the Supreme Court judgment on local Government autonomy and disregarded the order of the President and Commander in Chief of Armed Forces , President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop further stealing & Diversion of Local Government funds through the fraudulent Local Government/ State Joint account.

It’s on records that from over N10.9billion allocation to the 20 Local Government in December 2025, the irresponsible administration took over 70% away leaving only 30% with the ordinary citizens at the local government which is the closest to the downtrodden

Dapo Abiodun financial rascalities and gangantuan corruption has collapsed our state infrastructure into the economic intensive Care Units, our roads as death traps, ogun Civil Servants are now living like destitutes under hardship and economic misery since Gov Dapo Abiodun demolished Civil Servants official Quarters , commercializes the land at N100m per plots , build duplexes structures at N400m and sold it to his commissioners , friends family members and foreigners deliberately since no civil servants can afford such except some core Permanent Secretaries working with APC to destroy Our state Monument

“The people of Ogun State are now wiser. They have deliberately refused to participate in any open, physical APC registration because they know the ruling party has failed them in all ramifications and economic indices. That is why the APC has resorted to this so-called electronic registration to rigged 2027 Governorship elections through — a system that allows figures to be fabricated behind closed doors without the presence of real members,” the statement said.

The Labour Party alleged that the APC is using the electronic platform to manipulate membership data, inflate numbers and create a false narrative of popularity ahead of the 2027 general elections and calls on opposition leaders which include Dr Segun Showunmi, Dr Oladipupo Adebutu and Dr Jimmy Lawal to unite and works towards removing the political scourge called APC administration in Ogun State

“What we are witnessing is not a genuine political exercise but a fraudulent digital operation designed to manufacture legitimacy for a failed government that has lost the confidence of the people,” the LP Chairman added.

She further stated that the Abiodun administration has been marked by incompetence, fraudulent conversions of state property into private ownership for APC members, lack of transparency , black market economy and misplaced priorities, leading to growing hardship, unemployment and infrastructural decay across the state.

“The APC in Ogun State is running away from the people. They cannot face the electorate in the open because they know they will be rejected. Their e-registration is simply an attempt to hide behind computers to escape the verdict of the masses,” she said.
The Labour Party called on security agencies, civil society organisations and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to closely monitor political activities in the state to prevent what it described as a dangerous culture of digital electoral manipulation.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to providing a credible and people-centered alternative to failed ruling APC administration assuring Ogun residents that Labour Party remains focused on building a government based on transparency, accountability and genuine development and called on the Civil Servants , the NLC , NUT and TUC to support the party towards gaining power in 2027 so that they can be restored to their rightful place

The State Chairman concluded that the fraudulent E Registration exercise is a referendum by the people of ogun state to terminate in 2027 this irresponsible, irredeemable and grossly incompetent Dapo Abiodun APC self centered administration
