I bring you Calvary greetings from Obiakpu Ali Nkaralegwu, one of the most populous towns in Egbema, as they proudly hosted their grand finale of the Omeudo Football Talent Hunt/Empowerment Competition.
The atmosphere in Obiakpu was electrifying as the community gathered in unity to witness the peace-promoting and youth empowering tournament of Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima MFR (Omeudo). Villages emptied themselves onto the pitch, turning the event into both a cultural and sporting festival.
Despite heavy rainfall, the spirit of joy and excitement overshadowed the downpour, making the rain feel like part of the celebration. Spectators, scouters, and guests were thrilled by the coordination and cultural displays that added colour to the games.
The grand finale ended dramatically with a 1–1 draw, pushing the match into a penalty shootout. In the end:
FRANK FC scored 4 goals and emerged champions 🏆
Marvellous FC scored 3 goals to take 2nd place
Odogwu FC proudly claimed 3rd place
All winners received their prizes accordingly.
