NSA’s Office Dragged into Alleged Coup Plot as Ex-Governor’s Nephew Emerges Key Suspect

As I earlier shared, fresh updates from Sahara Reporters now indicate that the detained officers are attached to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), led by Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Among those allegedly linked to the plot is Lieutenant Colonel Al-Makura who according to Sahara Reporters, is the ring leader. He is reported to have returned recently from a special combat course in China and was posted to the NSA’s office a few months ago under the leadership of Nuhu Ribadu. This man is reported to be a nephew of Tanko Umaru Al-Makura, former Governor of Nasarawa State and the current Board Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

According to Sahara Reporters, most of them are from Northern Nigeria.
