No Controversy Here: Youths Dismiss Owo Deputy Gov Claim, Back Ajipe’s Senate Bid

The Vice President of Akoko North West Youth has thrown his full weight behind Chief Alexander Oluremi Ajipe as the senator the youth will rally behind. He dismisses objections from those fixated on a deputy governor in Owo as poor students of politics.

In a straightforward statement, the youth leader pointed to historical precedents when Akoko Southwest held nearly every key position in Ondo North at the same time. He listed trailblazers including Brigadier General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa (Oka Akoko), Chief of Staff to President Goodluck Jonathan (2014 to 2015); Alhaji Ali Olanusi (Supare Akoko), Deputy Governor of Ondo State (2009 to 2015); Rt. Hon. Victor Adekanye Olabimtan (Supare Akoko), Federal Commissioner at the Federal Civil Service Commission (representing Ondo, Ekiti, and Edo states); Senator (Prof.) Robert Ajayi Boroffice (Oka Akoko), Senator for Ondo North (2011 to 2023); Rt. Hon. Dare Emiola, Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly (Akoko South West Constituency II); and Hon. Debo Ologunagba, Member of the House of Representatives for Akoko South West/Akoko South East Federal Constituency (2011 to 2015).

The Vice President further emphasized that the Ondo North Senatorial District spans six local governments, with the seat rotating equitably among them. “Chief Ajipe’s turn aligns perfectly with this tradition,” he said. “We’re thrilled that no one questions his competence. It’s not in doubt. The youth of Akoko North West will stand firmly with him to deliver progressive leadership for our district.”

This endorsement underscores the youth’s commitment to unity, competence, and fair representation in Ondo North. It urges all stakeholders to prioritize merit and precedent over parochial interests.
