Nigeria’s currency makes its strongest comeback of 2025

The Nigerian Naira recently reached its strongest value since the beginning of the year, trading at 1,421.73/$ in the official market.

Prior to floating in June 2023, there was a significant disparity between the official and parallel market exchange rates of the Naira.

Improved foreign currency supply from portfolio investors has aided the Naira’s appreciation by 2.48% week-on-week.

Nigeria’s foreign reserves showed growth, rising by $820 million between September and October 2025.
