Nigerian Military Arrests Notorious Terrorist ‘Sule Yellow’ After Ransom Collection, TikTok Account Disabled
The Nigerian military has arrested a suspected notorious terrorist identified as Sule Yellow, popularly known on TikTok by the username @suleyellow6, following intelligence that linked him to ransom-related crimes.
According to reports, Sule Yellow was apprehended shortly after allegedly collecting ransom payments from the family of a kidnapped victim. Security operatives tracked and arrested the suspect in an operation aimed at cracking down on kidnapping networks and terrorist activities in the region.
Authorities revealed that the suspect had been openly active on TikTok, where he allegedly used the platform to interact with associates and possibly intimidate victims. On March 4, Sule Yellow was reportedly seen participating in a TikTok livestream alongside another suspected terrorist known as Auta and several other individuals.
The livestream, which has since circulated on social media, reportedly showed the suspects speaking openly while displaying little concern about being tracked by security agencies.
The development sparked outrage among Nigerians online, with many questioning how individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities were able to operate publicly on social media.
Following his arrest, security forces moved swiftly to disable the TikTok account linked to Sule Yellow. Authorities say the move is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt online activities used by criminal groups to communicate, boast about operations, or spread fear.
While full details of the operation have not yet been released, military sources say investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the group connected to the suspect.
