The Nigerian federal government has approved an upward review of the housing loan ceiling under the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB).

“In demonstration of its unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of public servants, the Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an upward review of the loan ceiling under the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board (FGSHLB),” a statement on Tuesday read.
According to the government, “this positive adjustment is designed to empower eligible Civil and Public Servants to more effectively utilise the housing loan facility towards acquiring personal residential homes, in line with the Government’s national housing policy and its vision for sustainable home ownership among its workforce.”
It urged qualified officers to apply through the appropriate channels.
“All qualified and interested officers are therefore encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity by submitting their applications through the approved channels. Applicants are reminded to adhere strictly to all procedural requirements and ensure that necessary documentation is duly completed as prescribed by the FGSHLB.”
The statement advised workers seeking further information on the new loan ceiling, eligibility criteria, application process, and repayment terms to visit the official website at www.fashib.gov.ng.
“All Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are hereby enjoined to ensure wide circulation of this circular within their organisations, so that every eligible staff member may benefit from this initiative,” it added.
