Nigeria Does Not Need Gamer-in-chief – ADC Blasts Tinubu
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his recent comment that “the game is sweet only when you are winning,” saying the remark reflects a troubling disconnect from the realities facing Nigerians.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, reacted to a video of the President speaking at an interfaith breaking of fast on Wednesday night, where he said “the game is sweet only when you are winning.”
Reacting to this, Bolaji took to his X handle in a post, questioning whether it was important to ask who exactly was winning in what he described as a “so-called game.”
It is important to ask the President: Who exactly is winning in this so-called game?” the ADC spokesman said.
He questioned whether Nigerians could truly be considered winners amid worsening insecurity and economic hardship across the country.
Are Nigerians winning when communities are attacked and citizens are killed?” he asked.
