Nasir El-rufai Responds To General Christopher Musa’s Warning To Terrórist Sympathizers
Former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai has responded to minister of defence, General Christopher Musa’s (rtd) recent interview in which he sternly warned Nigerians sympathizing with bàndits and terròrists to desist from doing so.
General Musa while speaking to BBC Hausa, warned that Nigerians must stop sympathizing with bàndits and terròrists and shielding them. He stated that people who take up arms kidnàpping and kîlling innocent Nigerians do not deserve to be sympathized with. He warned that bandits and terrorists sympathizers will be treated as bàndits and terròrists if fo not desist from supporting them under the disguise that they are “their relatives”.
Hence, former governor Nasir El-rufai who had accused some state-governors of negotiating with bàndits and also paying them ransoms, applauded General Musa for his warnings to bandits sympathizers.
Nasir El-rufai through his X handle, while reacting to a video clip of General Musa’s interview, shared by BBC Hausa, described the minister of defence as a “breath of fresh air”. He thereafter prayed that God helps the minister to win his fight against insecurity in Nigeria as well as actualize his security plans for the country
“God bless Minister Chris Musa for being a breathe of fresh air. May Almighty God help him in his honest quest for real security. This interview should rebroadcast with English Language translation as a matter of urgency”, Nasir El-rufai stated.
Popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad has been at the forefront of those defending bandits, calling for a blanket amnesty for those involved in kidnápping and banditry especially in the northern part of Nigeria. The controversial cleric argues that those involved in these crimînal activities were pushed into it through deprivation of necessities that would make life easier for them.
According to sheikh Gumi, those Involved in bánditry are doing so to earn a living in the absence of employment opportunities, human empowerment, and life basic amenities.
