NANS Philippines Zone Congratulates Newly Elected National Executives of PHILGRAN, Commends Outstanding Achievements at 2025 National Convention

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Philippines Zone Incorporated has extended warm congratulations to the newly elected national executives of the Philippines Graduate Association of Nigeria (PHILGRAN) following their successful 2025 National Convention held in Enugu State from November 13th to 15th, 2025.

In an official statement released to Our Heritage Reporter online, NANS Philippines Zone described the convention as “a remarkable gathering of intellectuals, visionary leaders, and patriotic Nigerians committed to national development.” The organization applauded the leadership of PHILGRAN for its “giant achievements, transformative initiatives, and consistent efforts in advancing academic excellence, diaspora engagement, and progressive nation-building.”

Newly Elected PHILGRAN National Executive Council

The following members were elected to lead PHILGRAN for the new administration:

1. National President: Engr. Gabby Dimude, B.Sc. Eng., M.Sc. Eng.

2. Vice President: Dr. Ify Nzekwe-Chinwuko, PhD

3. National Secretary: Engr. Benjamin Egenti, B.Sc. Eng.

4. National Assistant Secretary: Prof. Dr. Alalade, PhD

5. National Financial Secretary: Mrs. Celia Ogbonna

6. National Treasurer: Rev. Fr. Dr. Onyeka Amaegwu, PhD

7. National PRO / Provost: Engr. Edy Omada, B.Sc. Naval Engineering

NANS Philippines Zone commended the new officers for their track record of excellence and urged them to continue upholding the values of professionalism, service, and integrity for which PHILGRAN is known.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, Rev. Comr. Okoye Chikelue Christian, President of NANS Philippines Zone Incorporated and Vice President of NANS Diaspora, celebrated PHILGRAN’s strides in fostering unity among Nigerian graduates of Philippine institutions, strengthening academic collaboration, and contributing meaningfully to national development.

He highlighted PHILGRAN’s remarkable initiatives, describing them as “evidence of visionary leadership, intellectual capacity, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Nigerians globally.”

A Call for Continued Collaboration

NANS Philippines Zone reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate closely with PHILGRAN in future programs aimed at enhancing educational advancement, diaspora networking, youth development, and national transformation.
