Man reports lady to Opay for blocking him after sending her transport fare
A man notifies OPay that a woman blocked him after he sent her money for transportation.
This was revealed in a recent post on X (previously Twitter) by the man, who goes by the handle @Olamilekan.
@Olamilekan tweeted that he was thrilled about the reversal payment. However, the post did not specify the precise sum.
Read his tweet below;
“Almighty Allah wil bless this opay for me. Werey collect transport money, block me. E sweet my belle😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂”.
The woman’s specifics are yet unknown, though. Netizens have poured their ideas and opinions into the post’s comment box.
Recall that the Rivers State Police Command issued a warning that it is illegal to collect transportation fares without intending to attend the scheduled meeting; this is known as “obtaining money under false pretences.”
This comes after a recent incident in which a woman named Jennifer was sentenced to pay a man ₦450,000 in damages after collecting ₦50,000 in transportation ticket and not showing up as scheduled.
Citing Jennifer’s acts as financial exploitation and fraud, the court decided in favour of Emmanuel.
Jennifer asserted that the transport fee was insufficient for her journey from Asaba to Abuja, claiming she had no intention of misleading Emmanuel.
