Man hangs to moving trailer in life-threatening stunt

Commuters were left in shock yesterday after spotting a man dangerously clinging to the back of a moving trailer along the Ilesa-Akure Expressway.
Eyewitnesses said the man appeared determined to get to Ado Ekiti, with many speculating that he might have joined the risky ride all the way from Ibadan or even Lagos, simply because he could not afford the high cost of transportation.

What remained unclear was whether the trailer driver was aware of the stowaway passenger or if the man’s true destination was actually Ado Ekiti.

The disturbing scene, however, paints a grim picture of the daily struggles faced by many Nigerians who are forced into life-threatening decisions due to poverty and rising transport fares.

As at the time of this report, the identity of the man is yet unknown.
