Man Arrested in Akure Over Alleged Abuse of Woman and Minor

A middle-aged man has been arrested by the police after he was allegedly caught engaging in an inappropriate and criminal act involving a woman and her minor daughter in the Plaza area of Akure, Ondo State.

According to eyewitness accounts and a circulating video report, the incident occurred within the neighborhood where the woman resides. Residents disclosed that the woman is believed to be mentally unstable, a situation the suspect allegedly exploited to carry out the act.
Community members reportedly raised an alarm after noticing suspicious activity, leading to the man being confronted and apprehended. The matter was subsequently reported to the police.

As of the time of filing this report, the suspect is said to be in police custody at the Ijapo Police Station, where investigations are ongoing. Authorities are expected to carry out a full inquiry and take appropriate legal action in line with the law
