LET GOD CHOOSE FOR YOU – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
TEXT:
I Samuel 8:7 KJV.
“And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them”.
MESSAGE
☆☆☆ Sometimes, man ignorantly rejects God’s choice for his life. The reason being that most times, God’s own choice doesn’t usually agree with the choice and desires of man.
☆☆☆ We often look at the immediate but God looks at the future. God knows the end of a thing from its beginning.
“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” – Isaiah 46:10.
☆☆☆ When the children of Israel were seeking for a king, they said to prophet Samuel, that they needed a king who could judge them like other nations. Read I Samuel 8:5.
☆☆☆ The other nations they were comparing themselves with were actually the Philistines, the Amorites, etc. They wanted to be like their enemies, whereas God had better plans for them.
☆☆☆ However, when God found a man after his own heart, he rejected the king that met the desires of the people and enthroned his own choice. Read I Samuel 13:14.
☆☆☆ In the day of trouble, the man that met the desires of the people could not safe them. He went into hiding, afraid of the enemies. But the man after God’s own heart, God’s choice (David) came to the rescue. Read I Samuel 17:11,50.
☆☆☆ When man wants to make a choice in life, instead of asking God to choose for him, he seems to know better than God by choosing for himself.
☆☆☆ After you have left God out, while making your choice, you cannot turn around later to blame God when your choice begins to torment you.
☆☆☆ While approaching God for our needs, we need to walk with him by faith rather than by sight. For the bible says👇
“For we walk by faith, not by sight” – 2 Corinthians 5:7.
☆☆☆ Beloved, in making a choice as to who to marry, for example, the choice of God is always the best.
☆☆☆ The choice of God may not be pleasant to you but it will certainly end up being the best for your life.
☆☆☆ Remember what the bible says in Isaiah 55:8, his thoughts are not the same with the thoughts of man.
☆☆☆ Remember the story of Jacob and Rachel. Jacob served Laban 14 years just to marry Rachel. When the first 7 years were over, Leah was given to Jacob but he rejected her.
☆☆☆ Jacob again served another 7 years before he eventually got his desire fulfilled by getting married to Rachel.
☆☆☆ We all know the rest of the story. Rachel was barren while Leah was giving birth to multiple children.
☆☆☆ Jacob pleaded with God to open the womb of Rachel and God did but Rachel died after giving birth to the second child.
☆☆☆ Beloved, Leah was the will of God for Jacob but Rachel was his choice. Read Genesis 29:16-35, 30:1-end and 35:19-20.
☆☆☆ Beloved, before you take that final decision, why not ask God for direction.
☆☆☆ Whatever you want to do in life, please commit same into the hand of God and he will surely direct you.
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” – Psalm 37:5.
PRAYERS
1. Father, at the cross road of life, please show me the way to follow.
2. Oh God my creator, please Lord, grant me the grace to accept your will for my life.
3. My father, my father, let your will prevail over my own will in Jesus name.
4. Father, by your mercy, please Lord correct every error my choice has introduced into my life.
5. Oh God my father, let my mistakes turn to my takes in Jesus name.
6. Father, don’t allow me to take a decision that will suddenly truncate the journey of my life.
7. Father, don’t allow me to take decisions that will kill me and become a seed of death for my generation yet unborn.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I decree, you will not reject the choice of God for your life in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, you will not accept a choice that will separate you from your maker in Jesus name.
Once again, I decree, the will of God shall come to pass in your life in Jesus mighty name.
The Lord shall appoint leaders of His choice to rule over the affairs of we His children in all the Nations of the world.
I equally decree, may you not work against the choice of God for you and for your country in Jesus mighty name.
May you not make choices that torment you and your generation for life.
May your steps be guided by Jehovah God.
For as many as are trusting God for life partners, may the Lord choose for you.
May you be endowed with abundant grace to accept the will of God for your life.
You are blessed.
