Renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has officially withdrawn the lawsuit he instituted against the ongoing selection process for the next Awujale of Ijebuland.
The suit, which was filed at a competent court, sought to challenge aspects of the traditional process leading to the emergence of a successor to the late Awujale, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, who reigned for over six decades before his passing. KWAM 1, a prominent indigene of Ijebuland and respected cultural figure, had raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the succession procedure.
