Know Your PURPOSE in Life – Banji Alabi, Esq.

“For this cause I was born.” – John 18:37 NKJV

Standing before Pilate, Jesus said, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” Jesus knew why He was born and what He was called to do, and He focused on it like a laser. As children of God, we are called to follow the MASTER’S footsteps (see 1 Peter 2:21).

God created you for a purpose: you are in this world for a purpose, to carry out certain assignments for the Lord. You are not created to just exit; you must be purpose-driven.

Our greatest discovery in life is self-discovery; until we find ourselves, we will always be someone else.

The picture that you have of yourself and your God’s given assignment on earth will always determine how you respond to life. If you were born to be an eagle, please don’t end up as a pigeon—experience God’s altitude for your life.

When you believe in your dream and your vision, it begins to attract its own resources. You are not born to be a failure! You are destined to win! The more you discover of yourself, the more you discover opportunities and the more you will overcome obstacles.

There are three types of people on the planet earth:
(1) Those with no life purpose. They are drifters, aimlessly cruising through life. They go to school, get a job, switch jobs, find a spouse, switch spouses, move from house to house and place to place, cause trouble, make negative impacts, retire, and eventually die. They don’t really live; they just exist.
(2) Those who have the wrong life purpose. They may be super achievers, people who have climbed the ladders of financial, political, and social success, only to find their ladder was leaning against the wrong wall. They either discovered too late or never realized that they missed a purposeful life that may have positively influenced others. They missed a lifelong opportunity to put their names on the sand of time.
(3) Those who have the right life purpose. They have the right attitude. They know why they were created. They know why God put them on this earth, and they are all about fulfilling that purpose. That is the life that brings a smile to the face of God. That is success that lasts. It has nothing to do with popularity, power, or possessions. It has everything to do with purpose, because that is the only thing that brings a God-given assurance of success.

So, brethren, do you know your life’s purpose? Do you know your assignment on earth? Do you know why you are on this planet? Do you know the problems that God created you to solve? The people that you are to mentor? If not, seek the face of God now—tell God to reveal to you your purpose on earth, and He will reveal it to you, and you will never remain the same again; you will fulfill your destiny.

Remember, John 18:37 NKJV, Standing before Pilate, Jesus said, “For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth.” Jesus knew why He was born and what He was called to do, and He focused on it like a laser. We are to follow the example of our Savior and Commander-in-Chief—know your purpose in life; let your life be purpose-driven.

Start now—age is NOT a barrier; you will succeed
!

There are two primary choices in life:
1. To accept the conditions as you are now,
2. Or to emerge from a state of uncertainty to one of courage and action by accepting the responsibilities that come with changing the situation you are in as of this morning.

Isaac Newton’s first law of motion states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force… The truth of the matter is that you will remain in the same position that you are today unless you apply force to effect a change and start doing things differently.

(a) The past is your past—it is where you learned the lesson,
(b) The present is where you apply the lesson, which then gives birth to a glorious future; you can make it despite all the mistakes of the past—yes, you can.

Listen, the past is a story told—your future may be written in gold—depending on what you do with your time from this moment. Learn a trade, be an entrepreneur; learn to solve problems and commercialize them. The more problems you are able to solve, the richer and more influential you become. Act now; age is not a barrier. You can no longer survive with one career—I personally have 3 careers and am still developing myself for more. You have a right to succeed and live in luxury.

You will succeed.

DREAM BIG! The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Joseph went through hell, but he held on to his dreams. Please don’t give up on your dreams; you will succeed.

Where you are now is a good starting point—look at your environment, what is lacking? What will people want, and what can they afford? Build your business to solve the problems and start smiling to the bank.

Start small, start from your church, from your office, From your apartment and within the circle of your friends.

Change is possible—when progress is desired, change is inevitable; you will succeed. Yes, my dear brothers, Sisters , change is inevitable. CHANGE IS POSSIBLE

You can’t continue to do something the same way and expect a different result; to get a different result, you must change your thinking and do things differently.

Your success starts from the inside; change your mindset to dream big—As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is. Develop a roadmap to realize your dreams and follow it to the letter.

CHANGE IS POSSIBLE!
The talent of man makes a way for him; God has deposited so many talents in you. Find time today to list out your talents and develop two of them to a higher standard. Age is not a barrier; at 85, Joshua went to war and captured territories.

*Your Attitude Shapes Your Destiny*

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” – Charles R. Swindoll

Your attitude shapes and influences your entire personality. While you may not always control what happens to you, you can choose how you respond (Prov. 15:1-15). As the Bible says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Prov. 17:22).

A joyful heart begins with the thoughts you entertain. Fill your mind with what’s noble, just, pure, and lovely (Phil. 4:8), and watch your outlook transform. “The mind is everything. What you think, you become.” – Buddha

Take a moment to audit your attitudes. What are you feeding your mind? What are you focusing on? As Nelson Mandela said, “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

Make intentional adjustments, and watch your year blossom. “Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.” – Theodore Roosevelt

This year, choose to blossom. Choose joy. Choose growth. Choose YOU. 🌟

Have a fulfilled day and an awesome time in the presence of our Lord Jesus—our King and Commander-in-Chief. Happy Sunday

You will succeed
