JUST IN: What God Told Me About Nigeria at 65 – Primate Ayodele

According to a report by Nigeria Tribune on Wednesday 1st October 2025, as Nigeria marked its 65th independence anniversary, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has shared a profound spiritual insight on the state of the nation; Speaking to his followers, the cleric revealed that God’s message concerning Nigeria’s 65 years of independence is a sobering one, describing the celebration as symbolic of bondage rather than genuine freedom.

According to Primate Ayodele, while Nigerians commemorate independence with parades and festivities, the country continues to grapple with deep-seated challenges, including corruption, insecurity, economic instability, and political unrest; “Nigeria at 65 is still chained by the sins of its leaders,” he said.

“The true independence of a nation is not measured by ceremonies but by the welfare, unity, and freedom of its people.”

He urged Nigerians to reflect critically on the state of the nation, calling for repentance, unity, and a return to Godly principles as the only path toward sustainable progress; He further warned that failure to address these issues could exacerbate social and political tensions, likening the current independence celebrations to a “time bomb” waiting to explode if the nation continues on its current trajectory.

Primate Ayodele’s message resonated with many Nigerians who feel that, despite decades of independence, the nation’s potential remains largely untapped due to leadership failures; He concluded by emphasizing the need for divine intervention and collective moral responsibility to truly achieve the freedom that independence should symbolize.
