JUST IN: Primary And Secondary School Are Nill, But He Has BSc In Accounting – Ex-Buhari Minister Drags Tinubu
Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung, has raised fresh questions over the educational information contained in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s nomination documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Dalung made the comments while speaking during an interview on Arise News on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, where he expressed concerns about the details published in the president’s nomination form.
The controversy follows the publication of Tinubu’s EC9 nomination form by INEC. According to the document, the sections provided for the president’s primary and secondary school qualifications were left blank, while his university qualification was listed.
The INEC’s publication forms part of the process allowing Nigerians to scrutinise the personal particulars and credentials submitted by presidential candidates.
Reacting to the information, Dalung questioned how the nomination form could contain a university qualification while having no entries for primary and secondary education.
He argued that the discrepancy deserved public attention and explanation, particularly because the information relates to a sitting president seeking another term in office.
In his words, Dalung said, “If you look at the nomination form before INEC, primary school nil, secondary school nil, but he has BSc in Accounting, that is fraud.”
His statement was presented as his interpretation of the information contained in the nomination documents and formed part of his broader criticism of the Tinubu administration.
The issue has generated debate because the INEC-published form lists Tinubu’s university qualification but leaves the primary and secondary school fields blank.
Reports on the document state that Tinubu listed a Bachelor of Science degree from Chicago State University obtained in 1979 and attached supporting documents, including a degree certificate and NYSC certificate.
