Two lawmakers have been suspended. They are; the Deputy Speaker, Ogundeji Iroju and Wale Williams. Both of them, APC members, have shown lack of party discipline. Their induced roles in the ongoing impeachment saga of the Deputy Governor, have shown affront to party supremacy and doctrine.
While Ogundeji Iroju is known for his treasurous habits, having betrayed Dr. Olusegun Mimiko who singlehandedly brought him to limelight, Wale Williams is a spoilt young man who overates himself in party politics.
If Mimiko was the Governor , Wale Williams couldn’t have smelled anything near House Of Assembly. He’s a neophyte in politics with unbridled arrogant on vains. Governor Akeredolu rescued his life by making him a Councillor before this same Governor dashed him the APC ticket for house of Assembly.
His grouse with the Governor is that, after collecting money from the Governor for his election which he won through the Governor’s efforts, the Governor didn’t give him money to pursue the case against him at the election tribunal.
He claimed that it was the deputy Governor who gave money to him to defend his victory at the court. Wale was very unthoughtful and childish in reasoning, he forgot to find out that it was the same deputy governor who advised the Governor not to give money to assembly candidate who has case in the court.
In other news, the Majority leader, Sule Maito has resigned his position as the house majority leader. He is also due for suspension. The Southwest organ of the APC has said all of them will be expel from the party. If they decamp, they will lose their seats. They have drawn this misfortunes on their own head by themselves.
