In an interview with AF24 Stories News, former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose lamented what he described as continuous intimidation and targeted attåcks against people linked to him.

Fayose alleged that a particular powerful figure had developed a pattern of going after anyone associated with him, regardless of their position or political alignment.

Fayose stated, “Anybody associated with me, he’ll go for them. Look at Wike, look at Governor Oyebanji—he fights everybody.” He explained that the situation had created unnecessary tension within political circles and had discouraged healthy relationships among leaders.

According to the former governor, such actions reflect a broader culture of political hostility rather than constructive engagement. He warned that turning political disagreements into personal battles undermines Nigeria’s democratic space and makes governance unnecessarily confrontational.

Fayose urged leaders to embrace dialogue and maturity, insisting that politics should be about service, not intimidation.
