JUST IN: Insëcurity: You are såfe – Governor Adeleke assures Osun residents
According to news published by Punch on Saturday, 22nd of November, 2025, Governor Ademola Adeleke has told the people of Osun State not to pånic over insëcurity, insisting that the ståte is safe and well prötected.
Speaking through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Saturday, the gövernor said security agencies are on top of the situation and have taken every necessary step to keep bandits and crîminals away from the state.
“You are safe. Osun is safe. There is no cause for alårm,” Adeleke said. He praised the Department of State Services (DSS) for the recent arrëst of some suspected terrorîsts and the breaking up of their hideöuts inside the state.
The governor explained that police, Amotekun cörps, local hunters, and vigilante groups are all working together and have been placed on high alert, especially along the borders with Kwara and other neighbouring states where bandîtry has been repörted.
Adeleke revealed that he has been in constant touch with the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of DSS, and other top security chiefs, and they have all promised full suppört to Osun.
“Security meetings are going on in all our border töwns. Our men are visible everywhere. Anybody planning evil will meet his waterloo,” he added.
He urged residents to go about their normal businesses without fëar but to quickly repört any strånge face or movement to the nëarest pölice ståtion or sëcurity post.
