Just In : Imo government recieves new IPAC Executives, Offers hands of partnership to the newly elected Executives
The governor of Imo state, senator Hope Uzodimma within the week recieved the newly elected inter party advisory council( IPAC) executives at the imo state house Sam mbaikwe exco chamber.
Speaking at the occasion, the governor of Imo state said, the peaceful conduct of the Election showns that , democracy is still working in the state.
According to the Governor, APC as the party in power can not do it only, but needs collaboration of other Political parties , to move the state forward.
The election of umbrella body of registered political parties in Nigeria, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Imo State Chapter elected Levi Eke as the new state chairman.
Levi Eke of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) and seven other contestants were elected unopposed by 16 out of the 16 accredited political party members in the election which was held at the INEC headquarters Owerri, the Imo state capital.
Speaking earlier, the Deputy national chairman of IPAC, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem who presided as chairman of election committee noted that “by the law guiding the conduct of the election, only contestants that are card-carrying members of political parties and are duly registered and recognized by the INEC were allowed to participate in the election.”
National Deputy chairman of IPAC , demonstrated High level of decency , he further commended the governor for the fair level playing ground for the peaceful conduct of the election.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr Levi said servant leadership and cooperation shall be the symbol of his leadership at Imo IPAC.
He stated that IPAC is one indivisible entity and called on the new exco to work together with the national and state officers.
The new IPAC Chairman also commended the governor hope Uzodinma for ensuring the election was hitch free.
