JUST IN: Former Buhari’s Top Aide Backs  Trump Military Action Against Terrorists in Nigeria

Former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has declared his full support for the ongoing and proposed military operations aimed at flushing out terrorists and insurgent groups across Nigeria.
Ahmad, who served as Special Assistant on Digital Communications under former President Muhammadu Buhari, made his position known in a statement on Tuesday via his verified X (formerly Twitter) account.
He emphasized that decisive military action was long overdue to restore peace and stability, particularly in the northern region, where terrorist attacks and banditry have caused widespread devastation over the years.
Ahmad stressed that no responsible citizen should oppose firm measures against those making life unbearable for innocent Nigerians, adding that the military must be given total backing to end the menace once and for all.
His remarks come amid heightened military activities following recent directives from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who vowed to neutralize all terror cells and restore national security through coordinated operations involving the Army, Air Force, and intelligence agencies.
Security experts and political observers have hailed Ahmad’s stance as a sign of growing national consensus for stronger military intervention against insurgents and violent extremists.
