JUST IN: Dele Momodu Reacts to Governor Makinde’s Media Chat Speaking About Wike
ADC chieftain and media entrepreneur Dele Momodu has reacted strongly to recent comments by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, accusing former Rivers State governor and current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of exploiting members of the G5 governors’ bloc for personal political gain.
Momodu shared his views in an Instagram post on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, while responding to a video clip from Governor Makinde’s interview on Channels Television.
He stated that the fallout within the G5 group had been predictable, arguing that Wike pursued his own interests at the expense of the other governors involved in the alliance.
According to Momodu, Wike emerged as the main beneficiary of the political arrangement, while others paid a heavy price.
He claimed that three former governors from the group saw their political futures severely damaged, noting that they all lost their subsequent bids for senatorial seats after leaving office. He described the losses as a sharp fall from power for politicians who once wielded significant influence.
Momodu further remarked that some of the affected former governors were later offered ambassadorial appointments, which he suggested were far below their former status as elected state leaders.
He contrasted their situation with that of Governor Makinde, whom he said survived politically due to his performance and public support in Oyo State.
