It Is Silly To Blame IPOB For Every Case Of Insecurity In South-East – Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Ejimakor
Ejimakor said that it is in line with the plot to demonise the IPOB and the people of the South-East that every case of insecurity in the region is blamed on the secessionist group.
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, the special lawyer to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that it is silly for the Nigerian government or an individual to demonise and blame IPOB for every incidence of insecurity in the South-East region of the country.
Ejimakor said that it is in line with the plot to demonise the IPOB and the people of the South-East that every case of insecurity in the region is blamed on the secessionist group.
According to him, every sensible person knows that both state and non-state actors of non-South-East origin are complicit in insecurity in the South-East region.
Ejimakor said this in a post on his X account on Saturday in reaction to several claims by the Nigerian government and the Nigerian security agencies that IPOB and its security outfit, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) is behind the insecurity in the South-East.
He said, “In line with the plot to demonize the IPOB in particular and Ndigbo in general, every incidence of insecurity in Southeast is always blamed on IPOB.
“This is silly, because sensible persons know too well that both State & non-State actors of non-Southeast origin are complicit.”
