The Executive chairman of Ivo local government, Hon. Chief Emmanuel Ajah(Confirm) has continues to display wisdom prowess in leadership since emergence, thus, mediating and resolving various abandoned communities issues that has lingered for years and resulted to high level of violence, enmity and incessant killing among actors, some major issues bordering are ancestral land Disputes, unrest in electoral processes and leadership tussles. Many communities leaders, high ranking officers has put efforts to resolving the said issues but to their chagrin it remains futility.


The boundary dispute between Lekwesu community in Abia State with the people of Amata Community in Ebonyi State has been dusted and recognised as “rancour of the past” after imminent intervention by the executive chairman of Ivo LGA, Hon. Chief Emmanuel Ajah in peaceful resolutions meeting with the leadership of Lekwesu community that can stand the test of time.

Through a standardised strategies, the council chairman introduced Conflict Management Resolutions and Re-enactment of the Forefathers Agreement in the land boundary in full acceptance and compliance of the two community leaders. While returning the glory of the Forefathers Agreement to restore peaceful habitation and rest in the two community, the council chairman appeals for positive and healthy work environment between them, noting a common security threat from the Fulani herdsmen that required sensitive, confidential and brotherly relationship collaboration to tackles the raising challenges.

Recall, the security meetings between the Commanding officer Ngwagu barrack, cattles dealers association and ivo Stalkholders held on the 6th Day of May, 2023, to forestall crime-free society accentuated the executive chairman to call for peaceful collaboration between the two community, to enabling easy blockages of threats from these deadly men.
